About

Established in Banda Aceh, in 2025, initiated by the Waqf Forest Conservation Initiative Community. AEL takes an experiential education approach that prioritizes education in the forest or outdoors.

Vision
Creating a future generation that has critical awareness of the environment.

Mission
The big task is to dismantle the awareness that there are always things outside of human beings that determine human consciousness itself. Understanding how an ecosystem works.

Learning Methods
AEL is outdoor learning, where the school day takes place in a forest or suitable open space, where a child participates in life skills, such as learning personal, social, and technical skills. AEL is student-led learning, with the teacher only being a facilitator. Learning focuses on all the senses; it is intended to foster rich learning experiences, ecological literacy, and healthy living by connecting students with nature.
